Rust Printing

Rust does its own work. I set up the conditions — metal, paper, moisture, time — and then I wait. What comes back is never exactly what I expected, and that’s the point. Each rust print is a unique monoprint made in my Amsterdam Noord studio, unrepeatable, shaped as much by the material’s own process as by my hand. I also work with rust on fabric, extending the same process into textile.

These are records of transformation: what iron becomes when left to time, what beauty emerges from decay. Each rust monoprint tells a story of impermanence and change — and asks what we find beautiful when we let go of control.
