Because Artists Also Have to Do Their Taxes

Running your own business as a ZZP’er often means living in two worlds at once. On the one hand there’s creativity — making, designing, thinking, performing, solving problems. And on the other hand there’s… the real world. Administration. Numbers. Invoices. Taxes. BTW.

For many creatives and artists, that second world doesn’t always come naturally. But ignoring it isn’t really an option — keeping our admin in order means we can keep doing what we love without stress later.

I kept catching myself double-checking BTW calculations — incl. BTW, excl. BTW, different percentages — it’s easy to get lost when your brain is still in “creative mode.” So I made this little BTW calculator for myself. Turns out, it might be handy for other ZZP’ers, freelancers, and makers too, for a quick check while doing invoices or admin.

Think of it as a tiny helper that connects our creative side with the boring-but-necessary stuff.
